I have a lot of thoughts in my head about this one...and not enough time to try to get them all out.
Here's a few interesting things, though:
Ben and I met almost exactly 11 years ago at the Ice Cream Social in Gilbert Hall, at UofR.
I was 18 and Ben was 20.
We never really "dated." We were "friends" in college and then I moved in with him after graduation.
We got engaged in September of 2003. Ben lost his job the day he went out and bought an engagement ring. We had plenty of free time to spend together, though!
Our wedding was in East Aurora on August 27th, 2004. It may have been the most humid day EVER.
Our son was born on February 1st, 2007.
We've been lucky enough to allow me to stay at home with Jacob (and our two golden retrievers, three finches, three chickens, and pondful of fish).
Benjamin, there's no one else I would rather be with. We have good days and bad days, ups and downs. But the good far outweighs the bad, and there are way more ups than downs. You've added so much to my life and I am so thankful that I went to that ice cream social. I love you.
Oh baby i love you so much. I remember that ice cream social like it was yesterday. I remember asking EJ who that girl was and he said it was Erin. I remember thinking that a girl that pretty would never be interested in a guy like me.
ReplyDeleteAnd here we are 11 years later. I love you with all of my heart and you make my life so much better. We have a wonderful family and a wonderful life. I wouldn't trade it in for anything.
