Headboard

I feel like this project took forever. I suppose in reality, it only took a few hours, but the time I spent thinking about it...well, I tend to agonize over such things.

It was really pretty easy, and could be done by just one person...right up until trying to get those stupid buttons to be nice and tight. I'd highly recommend having a helper for that part.

I wish I could say that this project cost just a few dollars. In reality, it was probably just under $100. Sheet of plywood, 2 rolls of 1" foam, 2 layers of hi-loft quilt batting, upholstery fabric (or Target curtain panel...), button kits...It adds up.

However, I kind of love it.

The best part: My husband seeing the finished product and declaring it "sexy." If you know him, this is pretty funny.

I kind of wish I'd taken pictures as I did this, but as I now know, there are tons of tutorials out there on how to make a headboard just like this. It's not hard. We didn't do anything tricky or different than everyone else who has ever done this project.

Now that I can cross this off of my mental obsess-about to-do list, I can move on to the next project.
