Thankful

Today I am thankful for...


Our house.

I spent the day trying to finish up some of the projects that we've had lingering for a while.

Like the little hole in the wall in the bathroom that's been there since we re-did it...last summer. There were several other places that needed a little touch-up in there, too. Now they are all done and the new towel rack is mounted.

And I cut and actually affixed the baseboards on the wall adjacent to the door my Dad moved several months ago.

And I just stained the transition pieces that will go between the kitchen floor and the rest of the house flooring. Those will go in tomorrow. (We are WAY ahead of schedule on this one. Last time it took us about 4 years to do this. It's only been like 2 months since we finished the kitchen flooring.)

We hung the shelves and lighting above my desk.

I found the tile I want to use for the kitchen backsplash. For some reason, this was really hard to do. Something about too many choices becoming overwhelming so I just chose to ignore the problem. Life is tough for me, I know.

I also found a way to mount and hang some pendant lights over the new kitchen cabinets and bought that today. I opened up the box, but that's as far as I got today. This is still progess.

Once a few more projects are actually completed, I will take some "after" photos.

But for today, I feel like we accomplished stuff.

I'm thankful for our nice house and the nice things we have in it.
