Grateful

While I was home, Mick, Mom and I were sitting up talking one night. Mick asked us each to write out a list of things we were grateful for. He imposed a due date of Monday, which I missed completely. I did not, however, forget about writing my list. So here goes (in no particular order)...

  • my mom, my dad, my brothers, my aunts, uncles, cousins, distant cousins...
  • the ability to travel
  • Jacob
  • the time I got to spend with my dad the last three weeks
  • last Sunday at the garden center. It was such a nice day working with dad and Mick.
  • the jasmine blooming in my yard
  • being healthy
  • having a healthy family
  • Kelly and her new baby and being able to see them (even though it wasn't nearly enough)
  • finally meeting baby Carleigh!
  • sunshine
  • never worrying about where my next meal will come from
  • chicken wings in Buffalo
  • my dogs who were SO happy to see us when we got home
  • Ben, for a million reasons, the top of the list right now being that he cleaned the house before I got home and even changed the sheets
  • hummingbirds
  • the wonderful family I now have here in San diego. I can't imagine being here without them.
  • the good doctor's appointment yesterday, assuring me that everything is going perfectly with baby 2
  • that my mom and dad still live together and are (mostly) nice to each other
  • that my brother Brian married someone truly wonderful and now has a beautiful daughter
  • that my brother Mick has found peace in his life and is making a huge difference in the lives of other people
  • that my brother Dan has grown up to be such a neat, interesting, wonderful person. I'm so impressed with the way he has handled new responsibilities. AND I'm happy that his girlfriend is the cutest, sweetest thing ever.
  • the ability to be home with Jacob every day
  • the internet
  • books
  • fresh veggies growing in my garden
  • my compost bin
  • free verizon to verizon calls
  • Mick for suggesting I take the time to do this
What a wonderful exercise this is...I could go on and on. But, I'm going to go enjoy the sunshine and play with my boy!

Ok Mick and Mom...your turn!

  2. I got a little sad when I read that you were more greatful for Chewy and Obi than me but then I read the 'in no particular order' disclaimer at the top.

    XOXOXOXOXO
