Riding home in the car the other day, Jake's line of questioning had to do with the diets of particular animals (or more specifically, every animal he could think of).
"Mom, what do birds eat?"
Seeds, bugs, and worms, mostly.
"Well, what do bugs eat?"
Plants, other bugs...
...this went on for the entire car ride.
By the time we were home and walking through the front door, we were up to lions.

Trying to juggle an armful of things, including Ryan in his carseat, I answered, "Lions can eat whatever they want, Jake."
He paused.
"So....like, bananas and jelly beans, then?"
Exactly.
That makes perfect sense to me too. So funny.
