Getting closer and closer all the time...

Painted a light gray color (quite a diversion from my normally saturated color palette, but I wanted to keep it bright)

And the ceiling fans! I had no idea there would be so many choices and that it would be so difficult to actually MAKE a choice...

We're still waiting on a little bit of electrical work to be finished and then the door frame between the old house and the new part. After that, the contractors are pretty much done with the project.

Our flooring is supposed to be in today or tomorrow, which then means Ben and I have to install it. It was more expensive than the stock laminate we were originally going to go with, but it really is pretty and I'm excited to see how it looks.

Then, the fireplace! We needed to put a heater in the room but I didn't want to just plug in a space heater and have to then look at it all the time (because who actually puts them away and pulls them out each time they want to use them?)...so this was my solution to the problem.

It should be here by 1/25...I cannot wait to see how it looks. It was hard to order this thing, sight unseen, and trust that it's not going to be too cheesy. I hope it is pretty.

So, still more work to be done, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And on the ceiling.
